Flower thinning
Florix
Florix is an innovative flower thinning machine that respects plants and the environment.
Florix meets the fruit cultivation needs of the future: the project, born in Val di Non, in Trentino, Northern Italy, from the identification of real fruit cultivation needs, has produced innovative, sustainable solutions
In addition to machines for apple and peach trees, new machines are at an advanced stage of development for apricot and plum trees.
Project description
The revolutionary flower thinning system is effective, sustainable, ideal for organic farming, and capable of significantly reducing the use of chemicals in traditional fruit growing.
Florix is a mechanized thinning system with mobile arms that adapts to the plant, respects it, reduces operating times, and brings significant advantages in terms of fruit size and re-flowering. Florix is a project that leverages a supply chain of innovative and agronomic technical know-how, capable of offering fast economic investment returns, and of accessing recovery and tax benefits for investments in new instrumental assets, such as Machinery 4.0.
Florix is soul and technology from Val di Non, in Trentino, Northern Italy, for innovative and sustainable agriculture.
Why is Florix ideal for organic farming?
It’s ideal because organic farming cannot make use of synthetic substances, and the organic substances available are extremely problematic and sensitive to weather conditions.
Mechanical thinning represents the true alternative thinning method for organic cultivation, and re-flowering the following year.
What’s more, in the current year, there is an increase in the size of the fruits, thanks to a reduction in competition between them.
Florix is absolutely the perfect choice for organic farming.
